Methods

Aiming for an optimal lightweight system on all design levels, we research methods that support the entire design process. The single processing steps as well as the resulting behavior of the final manufactured part are simulated. We also advance structural optimization methods, lightweight oriented embodiment design and multi-material design. A continuous CAE chain is pursued to virtually combine design, manufacturing and structural validation.
